Golden Age Decision Games
A Plan for the Summer of 2026
‘Hey, Thalia, what’s with the thirties vibe?’
‘It illustrates my plan for the summer.’
‘Your plan?’
‘For the next fifteen weeks or so, I, Thalia Avatar, Muse of Historical Simulation, will be filling the pages of The Tactical Notebook with tactical exercises from the Golden Age of Decision Games.’
‘That explains the back issues of the Infantry School Mailing List piled high upon your desk.’
‘And the orders I placed with our sisters in the archives for a full set of Deutsche Infanterie.’
‘That sounds like a splendid plan. How can I help?’
‘Why don’t you write articles that complement particular games?’
‘So, rather than writing stand-alone descriptions techniques, equipment, or organizations, I should write pieces about things of that sort that play important roles in your games.’
‘Bingo.’
‘I can do that. But what about the Three Musketeers. I’m sure that they would love to take part in this adventure.’
‘I’ve already spoken to them. They will be presenting some the Golden Age games that appear in the pages of The Tactical Notebook at regular Zoomdevous of the Decision Game Club.’
