I wonder what the training plan for these units would have looked like and if the commanders would have required cross leveling of the training so crews could actually serve multiple weapon types. The history of the growth and development of the German/Prussian Armies is utterly fascinating!! IMHO the Gensis begins with the Prussian Army defeat at Jena-Auerstadt and its performance 6 years later at Leipzig is nothing short of miraculous, and as they say ' the rest is history
