Infantry Attacks, Erwin Rommel's memoir of his front-line service in the First World War, is well known to students of the military history.  The other book that Rommel wrote in the interwar period, however, is all but forgotten.  This was a collection of tactical decision games that was first published, in 1934, under the prosaic title of Gefechts-Aufgaben für Zug und Kompanie (Combat Problems for Platoon and Company.)
A translation of the first of these games can be found here.
