The polling period for the “do you prefer long articles or shorter pieces” survey is almost over. Thus, barring a last-minute delivery of strangely symmetrical mail-in ballots, it’s time to declare a winner.
As a super-majority of respondents declared a preference for long (or very long) treatments, I am resolved to publish more of those. In particular, I will refrain from dividing substantial discourses into parts that weigh in at less than six paragraphs.
At the same time, The Tactical Notebook will continue to publish short items that stand on their own, as well as “trailers” designed to draw attention to feature-length works.
Enjoying the steady incoming bombardment of these pieces. They are of a digestible length, which is good. An occasional long and descriptive piece would be OK, but keep it mostly like this if you can.
