Bruce: I found some good material, with beautiful original maps, in the U.S. National Archives, when I did my study on the Battle of El Alamein.

You are, of course, absolutely right. Archives II (at College Park, Maryland) holds a lot of FMS program material that has been neither microfilmed nor digitized. When next I am able to spend two or three days there, I will write a article describing those holdings.
