The Italian website Militartis has begun to publish translations of material that originally appeared in The Tactical Notebook. Compare, if you will, ‘Battaglioni Jäger – La tradizione della fanteria leggera’ with our series on German Jäger battalions.
Nota Bene: Most of the articles that appear in Militartis are composed in Italian. Every once in a while, however, it publishes a piece in English, such as this study, by my friend Tony Cowan, about German defensive tactics in the First World War.
Our Schwesterblog Extra Muros has just posted a guide to articles I have written about using graphics on Substack. (Marvelous to say, Schwesterblog passed the lips of real German speakers before finding a home in my personal Dictionary of Milwaukee Deutsch.)
Readers who have taken out paid subscriptions to The Tactical Notebook can exercise their right to complimentary subscriptions to Extra Muros and the Warfare Mastery Institute by sending an e-mail to oninfantry@gmail.com. (Substack forbids me from providing complimentary subscriptions to the former without an explicit request.)
