So the infantry battalion is reinforced into an integrated assault unit, with its own artillery, AT guns, and engineers - as they tend to be used in conjunction pretty often, and with not a lot of logistical support for bigger units, this looks like a good idea.
Again and again Infantry are turned into heavy weapons units, or full of marksmen, or crew served, anti tank weapons, never enough artillery. That’s an entire century of war. I support infantry but to keep these same Tables of Organization and especially equipment and train in peace mainly with assigned weapons (rifles) is questionable.
I can understand maintenance and budgets but known outcomes can be anticipated and paid for faster than we can birth and raise men (18 years, add 1-2 years training).
From the graphic it appears a standard batallion had 12 HMGs, not 6?
