An author of a newsletter recently reported that Gmail has been misdirecting the e-mail messages that Substack sends to his subscribers. Rather than placing these messages in ‘updates’ folders, the popular e-mail service has been exiling them to the sad and sorry spot set aside for ‘spam’.
So, if you have not received a message from the Tactical Notebook in several days, please check your ‘spam’ folder (or, for people who use services other than Gmail, its nitrate-free equivalent).
I turned off Substack email notification a couple of years ago, and instantly life was better. I read when I want to read, not when my telescreen goes "bing!"

And anyone still blindly ignorant enough to still be using gmail, deserves all the manipulation they receive.
Sorry if I'm too harsh, but the willfully ignorant, passively polite are what have facilitated the fall of western civilization. Stand up for what is right, or be run over by what is left.
