A decision game
In first issue of Deutsche Infanterie treated its readers to a tactical decision game. Set in the hilly, river-cut countryside west of the city of Berlin, this exercise placed players in the role of the commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion of the 5th Infantry Regiment (III/5).
You are the commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion, of the 5th Infantry Regiment, of the 2nd Division of the Blue Army. Your unit consists of three rifle companies and a machine gun company. In addition to personal weapons, it wields 27 light machine guns, 14 heavy machine guns, 3 light (5cm) mortars, and 6 medium (8cm) mortars.
