Clio Avatar, the time-traveling spokesmuse of The Tactical Notebook, recently returned from a trip to that part of Germany that, in the years between the coronation of King George I (in 1714) and that of Queen Victoria (in 1837), enjoyed a close relationship with Great Britain.
