The document that preserves the diagram of ‘a Canadian parachute rifle battalion’ also provided a table, broken down by company, platoon, and (at times) squad, that listed the major items of equipment the unit was supposed to possess. This provided the reader with information missing from the organogram, figures for vehicles, personnel weapons, and manpower, as well as the number of men who were jump qualified (Springer) and those who were not (Nichtspringer).
